According to ME News, on September 8 (UTC+8), Wang Chun, co-founder of F2Pool, recalled in a post that six years ago, a member of the Zcash team reached out to him, but during communication, the individual consistently confused Eastern Standard Time with Eastern Daylight Time, making further dialogue impossible—leading him to blacklist the entire company. Wang Chun stated that, six years later, this remains one of his “best decisions ever.” He also referenced a prior incident involving BlockFi, noting that BlockFi was supposed to send users $701.40 but instead sent 701.4 BTC, sarcastically adding: “Someone who can’t tell the difference between EST and EDT probably also confuses BTC with USD.” Additionally, he expressed satisfaction that last week he sold all his ZEC and converted everything into DOGE. Note: In April 2020, Wang Chun previously criticized the Zcash team in a post, arguing that if one cannot understand how daylight saving time works, how can they claim to understand zk-SNARKs? He further suggested the project hired too many people who didn’t grasp its fundamental principles, potentially leading to its failure. (Source: BlockBeats)
