Euronext halted CoinShares’ Zcash ETP (ZCSH) on October 28, 2026, the same day it was scheduled to launch on Euronext Paris. The exchange cited challenges with operational settlement and the need for full support from the Central Securities Depository. The move impacts on-chain news regarding Zcash’s expansion in Europe. The product would have been the fourth Zcash ETP, following offerings from 21Shares, Virtune, and Valor. CoinShares had announced the listing earlier that day but did not respond to follow-up inquiries. Regulatory clarity remains a key hurdle for new ETPs. A recent exchange hack at a major crypto firm underscores the need for stronger compliance and settlement infrastructure.

According to Mars Finance, citing Cointelegraph, exchange operator Euronext suspended the CoinShares Zcash exchange-traded product (ETP) on Wednesday, which was scheduled to list on Euronext Paris that day. Euronext issued a statement on the same day announcing that trading in the CoinShares Zcash ETP (ticker: ZCSH) is suspended effective immediately until further notice, without specifying the reason.

Flavio Bornancin-Tomasella, Euronext’s Head of Media and Communications, told Cointelegraph that trading for the product will remain suspended until the Central Securities Depository (CSD) can fully support standard settlement operations. He stated that this measure is strictly limited to “operational settlement requirements.”

This suspension prevented the product from becoming Europe’s fourth Zcash-based ETP. Earlier this year, 21Shares, Virtune, and Valor successfully launched Zcash ETPs. CoinShares announced earlier Wednesday its plan to list the product on Euronext Paris and did not respond to Cointelegraph’s request for comment as of publication.
