The annual Ethereum developer conference ETHTaipei 2026 will take place on September 13–14 at the Bottle Cap Factory (POPOP Taipei) in Nangang, Taipei. The organizers today announced the two-day keynote lineup: Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, will open on September 13, Cryptonative Day; and Lin Chih-Chen, CEO of Taiwan Mobile, will deliver the keynote on September 14, Institution Day, connecting Ethereum’s core technology with real-world industry applications in Taiwan. Vitalik will open the Cryptonative Day
The first day of ETHTaipei 2026, Cryptonative Day, features Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin as the keynote speaker. This one-day agenda is designed for Ethereum developers and the technical community, covering protocols and core development, Layer 2 scaling, zero-knowledge proofs and privacy, wallets and account abstraction, DeFi, consumer and social applications, security, and development tools.
Lin Zhichen will open the Institution Day.
The following day, Institution Day, features Lin Chih-Chen, CEO of Taiwan Mobile, as the keynote speaker. This day focuses on topics of interest to banks and financial institutions, including institutional wallets and custody, digital asset and smart contract security, stablecoin risk management, real-world assets (RWA) and U.S. stock tokenization, AI agent-driven Machine Finance, and blockchain selection for financial institutions. “Cryptographic technology and the real world are converging, and it is the research and engineering behind it that makes this possible. This is the core of ETHTaipei 2026,” said the ETHTaipei organizing team, Martinet.
The lineup of international and local speakers continues to expand.
In addition to the two keynote speakers, the ETHTaipei 2026 speakers come from teams including Polymarket (global prediction market), Uniswap (decentralized exchange protocol), Ethereum Foundation, ChainSafe (blockchain infrastructure), LINE NEXT, CertiK (blockchain security), OneSavie Labs, Quantstamp (smart contract auditing), Fluidkey, Morpho, imToken Labs, PIF12, and Swarm Protocol, covering protocol research, DeFi, privacy, security, and consumer applications. More speakers will be announced soon.
