ME News reports that on August 24 (UTC+8), Eric Conner, founder of EthHub, published a post announcing the creation of a new ERC proposal, ERC-8391, designed to provide an asset state interface for tokenized stocks and RWA. While tokenized stocks can be traded on-chain 24/7, the New York Stock Exchange is only open 32.5 hours per week. Smart contracts cannot distinguish whether outdated pricing results from weekend closures, oracle feed failures, or corporate acquisitions occurring during market holidays—both scenarios produce identical on-chain bytes but require opposite responses. Information such as trading halts, price locks, and redemption windows also cannot be reflected in price data. This standard will规范 contract-queryable conditions, including market phase, trading halts, valuation activity, and redemption windows. Oracles can feed data into the system, which tokens will then respond to. (Source: ChainCatcher)
EthHub Founder Proposes ERC-8391 to Standardize Asset Status Interface for Tokenized Stocks and RWA
KuCoinFlashShare
Eric Conner, founder of EthHub, has proposed ERC-8391 to standardize asset status interfaces for tokenized stocks and RWA. The digital asset market faces challenges in differentiating between outdated prices, oracle failures, and company events. The standard introduces queryable states such as market phases and trading halts, with oracles providing data and tokens responding accordingly. While fear and greed index volatility remains a concern, this proposal aims to enhance clarity and real-time response mechanisms.
