Ethereum news: The Sepolia testnet has completed an emergency fix ahead of the Glamsterdam network upgrade. The update resolves a flaw that could lead to low-capacity blocks. The testnet’s gas limit will increase from 60 million to 200 million. Prysm has released version 7.2.1 to ensure validator participation. The network upgrade aims to test Ethereum’s scalability plans.

Odaily Planet Daily report: Before the Sepolia testnet Glamsterdam upgrade test, the Ethereum development team completed an emergency software update to fix an issue that could cause some validators to generate low-capacity blocks. This test will increase the Sepolia network’s gas limit from approximately 60 million to 200 million to validate Ethereum’s future proposals for enhancing network throughput. On Monday evening, the Ethereum validator client Prysm released version 7.2.1; previous versions were released before the Sepolia parameter adjustments, and validators who did not manually adjust their settings would still operate under the 60-million-gas limit. This update ensures that validator nodes will participate in the Glamsterdam test as intended.
