As reported by MarsBit, Ethereum is set to activate the Fusaka hard fork on December 3, 2025, marking another major network upgrade following the Pectra upgrade. The Fusaka upgrade includes nine key EIPs, focusing on scalability, opcode updates, and execution security. Among the notable changes is EIP-7594 (PeerDAS), which improves data availability by allowing nodes to verify blob data without downloading the full dataset. Other key upgrades include EIP-7823, which sets a 1024-byte limit for MODEXP operations, and EIP-7825, which caps transaction gas at 16.7 million to prevent resource monopolization. The upgrade also introduces a deterministic proposer lookahead mechanism (EIP-7917) and a minimum blob base fee tied to execution costs (EIP-7918). Additional improvements include a 10 MiB RLP block size limit (EIP-7934), a new CLZ opcode for faster bit operations (EIP-7939), and a precompiled contract for secp256r1 signature verification (EIP-7951). These changes aim to enhance Ethereum's scalability, security, and efficiency, particularly for Layer 2 rollups.
