Ethereum researchers are pushing a new encrypted mempool EIP to improve the protocol’s resistance to MEV and censorship. The proposal introduces a protocol-level encrypted mempool, allowing users to submit hidden transactions until they are included in a block. It supports multiple decryption key schemes and works with existing plaintext transactions. The EIP fits with Ethereum’s roadmap, including ePBS, and targets issues like sandwich attacks and builder centralization.
