ChainCatcher report, according to Yonhap News, Matthew Dawson, co-founder of Ethereum Institutional, made his first visit to South Korea, meeting with major local banks, securities firms, asset management companies, and exchanges to establish partnerships. Dawson stated that South Korea has strong financial institutions and a vibrant developer community capable of fully leveraging blockchain infrastructure, and noted that the recent policy direction on tokenized securities issued by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) presents a favorable opportunity for collaboration. He expects that Korean institutions currently starting with private blockchains will eventually transition to public blockchains, emphasizing that Ethereum, with its security, liquidity, and neutrality, is the ideal infrastructure for hosting institutional core assets. In terms of organizational expansion, Ethereum Institutional plans to appoint an Asia regional lead within six to seven weeks and is recruiting technical, business, and consulting talent in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan.
