Odaily Planet Daily reports: Ethereum infrastructure company Blockspace has been established with the goal of enhancing Ethereum’s off-chain protocol infrastructure and enabling more global applications to access Ethereum blockspace.
Blockspace states that Ethereum's core business is providing blockspace, and currently, over 90% of Ethereum blockspace traffic relies on infrastructure outside the protocol, which still has gaps in economic modeling, reliability, performance, and service capacity. Blockspace recently completed a funding round led by BlueYard Capital, with participation from ether.fi Ventures, Quasar, SharpLink Gaming, and others.
Blockspace added that it will collaborate with the Blockspace Forum and the broader Ethereum community to accelerate the development of off-protocol infrastructure for Ethereum transaction flows, with a business model entirely dependent on ETH. The company will operate and support Ethereum infrastructure, including staking services, earning transaction fee rewards by producing blocks with its staked ETH, and reinvesting those earnings back into staking.
