Odaily Planet Daily reports that the Ethereum Foundation (EF) posted on X, stating that the Protocol Cluster has published two articles conducting a systematic evaluation of the upcoming network upgrade, Hegotá. Among them, "Hegotá EIP Opinion Post and Tier List" assesses and ranks the 62 EIPs currently proposed, marking the team’s first unified EIP rating list for a single network upgrade.
According to the report, approximately 60 researchers, engineers, and domain experts from nine teams under Protocol Cluster participated in this review, submitting 397 rating opinions and engaging in on-site discussions regarding proposals with differing views. Another article outlines the current and future key development directions for the Ethereum protocol layer, including the goal of making Ethereum L1 quantum-resistant by December 2029.
The Ethereum Foundation stated that these upgrade plans, long-term technical goals, and shared priorities of the Protocol Cluster will serve as reference points for finalizing the scope of the Hegocta upgrade and evaluating the ratings of each EIP.
Additionally, Protocol Cluster will host an AMA on Reddit’s r/ethereum community on September 16 at 14:00 UTC, focusing on topics such as the Hegotá EIP ratings and key priorities in Ethereum protocol development.
