Ethereum ETF outflows hit $60.22 million on Thursday, marking the second straight day of withdrawals. BlackRock’s ETHA led with $44.39 million in outflows, followed by Grayscale’s ETHE at $18.28 million. Fidelity’s FETH was the only fund with inflows, pulling in $2.44 million. Total net assets across the ETFs remain at $15.29 billion, representing 5.10% of Ethereum’s market cap. Inflows and outflows continue to reflect shifting investor sentiment.

U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $60.22 million in net outflows on Thursday, according to SoSoValue data. The withdrawals extended the funds' outflow streak to two consecutive days. BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) led withdrawals with $44.39 million in net outflows. Grayscale's Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHE) recorded $18.28 million in outflows. Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH) attracted $2.44 million in net inflows, making FETH the only fund among the three with positive flows.

Despite the withdrawals, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs held $15.29 billion in total net assets, equivalent to approximately 5.10% of Ethereum's market capitalization. ETHA recorded $611.96 million in trading volume. The trading activity indicates that investors continue to use ETFs as liquid vehicles to adjust cryptocurrency exposure during selling pressure. The latest withdrawals followed approximately $600 million in net outflows from spot Ethereum ETFs last week, adding to concerns about near-term investor sentiment.

Investors are assessing macroeconomic uncertainty, regulatory developments and Ethereum's upcoming fourth-quarter network upgrade. However, the outflows have not significantly undermined the funds' overall asset base. Two consecutive days of outflows do not necessarily indicate a sustained shift in investor sentiment. However, continued withdrawals could clarify whether investors are reducing Ethereum exposure or temporarily repositioning portfolios. The latest withdrawals signal near-term caution, but the funds' substantial asset base suggests institutional exposure remains significant.

Ethereum's upcoming fourth-quarter network upgrade could become an important catalyst for sentiment. Charles Schwab equity research director Adam Lynch identified the upgrade and regulatory progress as potential drivers of renewed cryptocurrency momentum. Lynch said the upgrade aims to improve network speed and capacity. Grayscale research head Zach Pandl described Ethereum as a potentially underappreciated opportunity, citing growing institutional adoption of stablecoins, tokenized deposits and real-world assets. Pandl expects trillions of dollars in traditional financial assets to move onto blockchains over time, potentially strengthening demand for established networks such as Ethereum.

A key question for ETF investors is whether developments in Ethereum's underlying ecosystem can restore sustained fund inflows. Investors will watch upcoming flow data to assess whether the two-day outflow streak is temporary or the start of a more persistent retreat.
