Ethereum Core Devs Confirm Glamsterdam Upgrade to Retain Trust Payments, Remove FOCIL

Ethereum core developers confirmed the Glamsterdam upgrade will retain trust payments under ePBS, while FOCIL is set for removal. The consensus layer decision came during the 171st meeting. The Fusaka upgrade activated on December 3, followed by the blob parameter fork on December 9. EIP 7688, 8061, and 8080 were reviewed, with the Heka upgrade planning to start in January 2026, possibly including a name change to meet IAU standards.
