The Ethereum Community Foundation has issued a warning about a USDT phishing attack involving 50 million tokens. Attackers used addresses with matching first and last three characters to trick users. The foundation urged users to avoid truncated blockchain address formats and to always verify full addresses. It also pointed out that some wallet and blockchain browser UI settings may introduce security risks, but fixes are available. What is clear is that users must remain vigilant when handling transactions.
