KuCoin security experts have echoed the Ethereum Community Foundation’s warning about phishing risks tied to shortened wallet addresses. Following a 50 million USDT theft, the foundation urged full address display to avoid confusion. Attackers used addresses with matching first and last three characters to trick victims. KuCoin security update guidelines now recommend users verify full addresses before sending funds. Current UI settings on some platforms still pose risks, but fixes are available.
