Ethena Completes SOC 2 Type II Audit with Unqualified Opinion

ChainCatcher report: The synthetic dollar protocol Ethena has announced the successful completion of a SOC 2 Type II audit based on the Security Trust Services Criteria, receiving an unqualified opinion from an independent auditor with no exceptions. SOC 2 is a widely recognized standard for enterprise-level operational security assurance, and the independent audit evaluated Ethena’s actual implementation of controls related to access management, change management, monitoring, and incident response. Unlike Type I reports, which assess control design at a single point in time, Type II verifies that these controls operated effectively over a specified period. This audit covers the infrastructure and processes supporting Ethena’s products, complementing the smart contract audits and security reviews conducted on the Ethena protocol. Ethena stated it will maintain ongoing SOC 2 coverage, and the full report is available to partners under NDA. Ethena now joins the ranks of on-chain companies such as Circle, Chainlink, and Aave that have completed SOC 2 Type II audits.
