A swing trader in ETH lost approximately $414,000 over two months, falling into a “buy high, sell low” trap. Lookonchain data shows the trader recently repurchased 1,674 ETH at $1,906 each, totaling $3.19 million, while their holdings decreased from 1,891 to 1,674 ETH—a loss of 217 ETH. This case underscores the risks of short-term swing trading in crypto, contrasting with the long-term strategy of value investing in cryptocurrencies.

Odaily Planet Daily reports, according to Lookonchain monitoring, an ETH trader recently repurchased 1,674 ETH at a higher price, worth approximately $3.19 million, at an entry price of around $1,906.

Lookonchain noted that the trader has long exhibited a pattern of "selling low and buying high." Two months ago, this address held 1,891 ETH, but now holds only 1,674 ETH, having reduced its holdings by 217 ETH through frequent swing trades, resulting in an estimated loss of approximately $414,000 at current prices.

Lookonchain noted that for this type of trader, frequent trading failed to increase returns and instead led to asset depreciation due to market volatility, adding: "Sometimes, simply holding may be better than blind trading."
