Hong Kong, October 30, 2026 — Global leading Bitcoin mining pool EMCD has launched EMCD Pool Worker, an open-source integration that connects the EMCD Pool to Tether’s Mining Development Kit (MDK). Miners and mining farm operators running infrastructure on MDK can now integrate EMCD pool data into the same environment as their monitoring hardware and other systems. Pool Worker is now live and available globally for free.
Most mining farms are still operated across multiple independent systems: one for hardware monitoring, one for pool statistics, and another for infrastructure management. To gain a complete overview, operators must constantly switch between various dashboards, APIs, and monitoring tools. EMCD Pool Worker removes the pool from this list: EMCD data now flows directly into the operator’s MDK environment using the same model as other MDK-compatible components.
MDK is Tether’s open-source framework designed to enable interoperability among mining infrastructure and prepare for AI-driven automation. On October 24, 2026, Tether announced that mining facility operators, ASIC manufacturers, and mining pools have committed to developing and maintaining MDK integrations. Tether aims to release the first stable version, MDK 1.0, by the end of 2026. EMCD Pool Worker is the first direct integration of EMCD into the MDK ecosystem.
How it works
- Operators use their existing EMCD pool account to connect the EMCD Pool Worker to their MDK-based environment.
- Pool Worker retrieves operational data from EMCD: hashrate, miner status, balance, and revenue-related metrics.
- These data are displayed in the operator's MDK environment, alongside hardware and other MDK-compatible infrastructure.
Main Features
• EMCD mining pool data is directly integrated into MDK. The mining pool no longer requires a separate monitoring environment.
• Unified infrastructure view. Pool-level data, hardware, and other mining systems are consolidated in one place.
• Open source. Built on Tether’s open MDK framework, allowing technical teams to review, deploy, and extend it themselves.
• Standardized data access. EMCD data uses the same model as other MDK components, reducing integration effort.
• No additional fees. This integration is free of charge, aside from the standard terms of the EMCD mining pool.
Typical users are mining farms that mine EMCD and manage their overall infrastructure through an MDK-based system. After connecting to Pool Worker, these farms can track EMCD hashrate, miner status, and earnings data in the same view as their miners, eliminating the need to monitor the pool separately.
“EMCD’s focus is on building technology that covers the entire mining lifecycle and providing operators with tools that truly enable efficiency management,” said Michael Jerlis, CEO of EMCD. “Today, many mining farms are like cockpits where each instrument comes from a different vendor—whether human or AI agents, they can only see fragmented information and thus cannot optimize effectively. Participating in Tether’s MDK is a step toward changing this: operators can directly use EMCD data within their existing infrastructure.”
Launch and Acquisition Methods
The EMCD Pool Worker is now live and available globally with no geographic restrictions; no additional setup is required beyond your existing EMCD mining pool account. Developers and operators can find this integration in the MDK code repository on GitHub and refer to the setup guide in MDK documentation. Learn more about MDK: mdk.tether.io.
About EMCD
EMCD is a global cryptocurrency mining pool and infrastructure provider. Founded in 2017, EMCD began as one of Europe’s earliest industrial-grade Bitcoin mining operators and now serves users worldwide. EMCD holds over 4% of global hash rate, ranking among the top ten globally, and remains committed to security, reliability, and transparency. EMCD’s mission is to make accumulating and earning digital assets simpler. EMCD was named Best Mining Pool by Coingape in 2026 and by Finance Feeds in 2025.
