EMCD launches the Miner Support Program with up to $30 million in funding, offering liquidity support at 3.9% annual interest, 60-day fee waivers, and firmware discounts. This comes as the Bitcoin hash price falls to $28/PH/day, with over 252 EH/s of hashrate exiting the network. Miners can access program benefits through EMCD’s platform. Altcoins to watch may gain momentum as Bitcoin mining continues to face challenges.

HuoXing Finance reports that on July 27, EMCD, a Bitcoin mining pool and crypto financial platform, announced the launch of the "Miner Support Program," offering up to $30 million in support to eligible miners, including financing, fee reductions, and discounted hardware and infrastructure partnerships. The program comes as the Bitcoin mining industry faces severe profitability pressures following the halving. According to CoinShares Q1 2026 data, the Bitcoin hash price has dropped to approximately $28 per PH/day, a 50% decline from its October 2025 peak and the lowest level since the halving. Hashrate Index data shows that approximately 252 EH/s of hashrate has exited the market due to declining profitability, forcing many older mining rigs offline due to excessive operating costs. Additionally, the mining difficulty has seen three consecutive negative adjustments—the first such occurrence since July 2022—indicating a large-scale industry consolidation. EMCD states that the support program will address miners’ operational needs by providing annualized 3.9% collateralized liquidity support to miners under financial strain, helping them cover operating expenses. It also introduces a 60-day mining pool fee waiver to reduce mining costs. Furthermore, EMCD will offer discounted Vnish firmware for miners using older or inefficient rigs and provide access to equipment procurement and data center services through its partner network to assist with hashrate expansion and migration. Founded in 2017, EMCD currently operates a Bitcoin mining pool serving over 120 markets, manages more than 30 EH/s of hashrate, and ranks among the top ten Bitcoin mining pools globally.
