BlockBeats news: On October 23, according to filings with the U.S. Federal Election Commission (FEC), Musk injected $77 million into America PAC, the super PAC he supports, bringing his total contributions in this election cycle to over $445 million, making him one of the largest donors to a super PAC in U.S. political history.
America PAC spent $43 million during the same period, with a cash balance of $46.5 million at the end of the period. Since August, the organization has invested $43.2 million in voter outreach and canvassing, and spent $8.8 million on digital media and text messaging services. Funding has primarily targeted key congressional races in states such as Texas, Ohio, and Michigan, with particularly significant spending on the Texas Senate race.
In addition, in September, Musk donated $1.58 billion to the Senate Leadership Fund, which supports Republican Senate candidates. As the U.S. midterm elections approach, both parties continue to increase their funding; by the end of the third quarter, Trump, the Republican Party, and pro-Republican congressional super PACs had collectively raised $2.1 billion, surpassing the $1.3 billion raised by Democratic-aligned organizations.
