CoinDesk reports:

From August 22 to 28, eight crypto and blockchain companies collectively disclosed $184.1 million in new funding. The disclosed capital primarily flowed into market infrastructure, stablecoin banking, on-chain trading, and tokenization-related businesses, with the largest transactions going to RQD* Clearing and Fasset.

RQD* secured the largest funding round of the week

RQD* Clearing, headquartered in New York, has received a $74 million minority growth investment led by Bain Capital Tech Opportunities, with participation from ABN AMRO Clearing Bank and Nyca Partners.

RQD* primarily provides clearing, custody, and technology services to broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, and foreign financial institutions to help them access the U.S. market. The company stated that the funds will be used for product development and to drive expansion in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

The company also plans to build infrastructure for digital assets and tokenized securities, aiming to enable financial institutions to custody blockchain-based assets and integrate with existing clearing systems. This transaction accounts for approximately 40% of the total disclosed funding for the week.

Fasset's valuation rises to $1 billion

The stablecoin banking platform Fasset has completed a $68 million Series C funding round led by Japan’s SBI Group, achieving a post-money valuation of $1 billion. Previously, Fasset raised $51 million in a Series B round in May.

After combining both funding rounds, Fasset has disclosed $119 million in funding as of 2026. The company provides stablecoin payments, tokenized assets, and digital banking services in 125 countries.

Fasset stated that the new funding will be used to expand its payment network, develop AI-driven financial tools, and advance its digital banking project in Malaysia in collaboration with SBI. Although the company announced this funding round in Los Angeles, its expansion focus remains on emerging markets and cross-border payments.

Institutional funds continue to flow toward tokenization and on-chain trading.

Hivemind Digital Group has completed a $17 million strategic funding round led by M&G Investments, with participation from CPIC Investment Management Hong Kong, ZA Bank, FalconX, and Sonic Boom Ventures. The company stated that the funds will be used for tokenization infrastructure, institutional partnerships, and investments in digital assets.

The on-chain trading platform Entropy has completed a $14 million equity financing round led by Ribbit Capital. The company has not disclosed its valuation or other equity investors. Entropy has also received $40 million in HYPE staking support, but this amount is not included in the weekly financing total.

Entropy builds its market on Hyperliquid’s HIP-3 system, with its first product offering exposure to Anthropic’s private market valuation through perpetual contracts. The team plans to expand into additional markets, including private companies, equities, and commodities, and develop pricing and liquidity tools for assets lacking continuous public quotes.

In other disclosed projects, City Protocol received $4 million, Chomp raised $3.6 million, Oro secured $3 million, and XStable received $500,000. Additionally, FinTax and TermMax disclosed receiving strategic investments, but the specific amounts were not disclosed and are therefore not included in this week’s total.
