IT Home, October 16: E Ink officially launched its next-generation color e-paper technology, E Ink Kaleido 4, yesterday. Building on its core advantages of low power consumption and paper-like readability, the new panel enhances color performance, brightness, contrast, and dynamic display capabilities.

The Kaleido 4's color gamut volume has doubled to over 40K, white screen reflectivity has increased by 15%, and contrast has improved by 50%, enabling clearer display of images, charts, presentations, and video content while reducing screen graininess.
It introduces a new Oxide TFT backplane that supports higher drive voltages and improves screen refresh rates; combined with a new algorithm, Kaleido 4 supports 18FPS video playback. Additionally, the newly designed front lighting system delivers more natural, clear, and detailed color reproduction.

Hanwang Technology was the first to launch the M10C二代 Color E-Ink Office Tablet based on this panel. Page-turning and scrolling speeds have improved by 27%, featuring a micro-etched AG black tempered glass panel paired with an 8,192-level pressure-sensitive passive stylus. The device is powered by a Qualcomm octa-core processor with a 4GB + 128GB storage configuration.
