DTCC will begin a token launch in 2026 after securing SEC approval for a blockchain-based asset tokenization pilot. The project, set for the second half of the year, will tokenize Russell 1000 stocks, Treasury bonds, and ETF shares. Assets will be moved to a digital ledger, with tokens representing ownership on compliant blockchains. Transfers will be limited to DTCC-registered wallets. The firm will submit quarterly reports to regulators on performance and incidents.
