Dragonfly managing partner Haseeb Qureshi warned on X that AI and crypto news are reshaping security risks, with attackers using AI to identify vulnerabilities at low cost. He cited GLM discovering a Coldcard vulnerability for just $2, highlighting a potential security breach due to minimal AI investment. Qureshi said small firms will struggle in security-sensitive markets and urged regular AI security scans with every product release.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Haseeb Qureshi, Managing Partner at Dragonfly, posted on X that the key in security has become a cost race—comparing the cost for attackers to use cutting-edge AI to scan for vulnerabilities against the cost for targets to invest in AI-powered security hardening. Claude detected this vulnerability in 8 minutes, while GLM reproduced it in 20 minutes, indicating that Coldcard has made virtually no investment in AI security hardening. Qureshi estimates the cost of discovering this vulnerability using GLM 5.2 is only about $2, meaning an AI can uncover this flaw for just $2. He warned that small companies in security-sensitive product domains will struggle to survive and stated that any security-sensitive product should undergo AI security scanning with every release.
