Odaily Planet Daily reports that Don Wilson raised questions regarding the advantages of on-chain perpetual contracts, transparency of positions and trades, whether the priority fee mechanism aligns with CFTC core principles, and whether offshore and onshore order book liquidity can be consolidated, following the announcement by the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange to bring Hyperliquid to the U.S. market. He noted that on-chain trading can reduce friction in a trustless and identity-verification-free environment, or enable real-time receipt of purchased assets through atomic settlements; however, since perpetual contracts themselves are not assets, the latter advantage does not apply. He also asked whether Stan Druckenmiller considers the real-time traceability of positions and trades an advantage. Previously, ICE and trade[XYZ] announced plans to deploy a perpetual contracts market covering crypto assets, equities, commodities, foreign exchange, and other physical assets for U.S. traders, using Hyperliquid as infrastructure, with ICE operating the regulated market and clearing architecture pending regulatory approval.
Don Wilson Questions Hyperliquid's Priority Fee Mechanism and Position Transparency
KuCoinFlashShare
Don Wilson has raised questions about Hyperliquid’s priority fee mechanism and position transparency as the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange seeks to bring the platform to the U.S. Wilson questioned whether the perpetual contract model complies with CFTC regulations and whether offshore and onshore liquidity can be effectively integrated. He noted that while on-chain trading reduces friction, perpetual contracts are not real assets, which limits their benefits. Wilson also asked Stan Druckenmiller whether real-time position tracking is truly an advantage. ICE and trade[XYZ] aim to launch a perpetual contract market using Hyperliquid as infrastructure, pending regulatory approval. As the Fear & Greed Index fluctuates, altcoins to watch may experience shifts if such platforms gain traction in the U.S.
