According to BitcoinWorld, Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon is arguing for a 5-year prison sentence in the Terra fraud case, significantly less than the 12 years requested by prosecutors. Kwon's defense claims he has already spent three years in detention, including time in Montenegro under poor conditions, and has agreed to disgorge $19 million and liquidate personal assets. The court will announce the final sentence on December 11. The case, centered on the 2022 collapse of TerraUSD (UST), has drawn global attention and could set legal precedents for cryptocurrency regulation.
