Do Kwon Asks U.S. Court for Up to 5-Year Sentence in $40B TerraUSD Collapse Case

As per Jinse, on November 27, 2025, Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon requested a U.S. court to sentence him to no more than five years in prison for his role in the 2022 $40 billion TerraUSD stablecoin collapse. Kwon pleaded guilty in August to conspiracy and wire fraud charges, avoiding a trial. He was previously arrested in Montenegro and convicted for using a fake passport as a fugitive from South Korean charges before being extradited to the U.S.
