As per TheCCPress, Do Kwon, co-founder of Terraform Labs, has requested a U.S. court to limit his prison sentence to five years after pleading guilty to conspiracy and wire fraud charges related to the Terra/Luna collapse. His legal team argues the initially proposed 12-year sentence is excessive, citing his time in custody and asset forfeitures exceeding $19 million. The collapse wiped out approximately $50 billion in market capitalization and intensified regulatory scrutiny on the DeFi and stablecoin sectors.
