DeepSeek leads OpenRouter’s weekly API requests with 299 million, surpassing Google’s 277 million. OpenAI ranks third with 185 million. The surge is driven by the V4 series, particularly V4 Flash, which now accounts for 70% of DeepSeek’s Agent Token usage, one month after the token launch announcement. The rapid adoption underscores growth in the AI and token ecosystem.

According to monitoring by Beating, data from the model aggregation platform OpenRouter shows that DeepSeek’s text request volume has reached 299 million this week, accounting for 27.1% of the platform’s total, surpassing Google, which previously led for an extended period. Google recorded 277 million requests (25.0%) during the same period, while OpenAI ranked third with 185 million requests (16.8%). This ranking aggregates text API request counts by model provider. All calls generated by DeepSeek models, including DeepSeek V4 Flash and V4 Pro, are counted under DeepSeek. DeepSeek’s growth has been primarily driven by its V4 series. OpenRouter previously disclosed that, after the release of V4, DeepSeek’s token share approximately doubled within six months, with growth largely coming from Agent tasks. One month after the launch of V4 Flash, it accounted for 70% of DeepSeek’s Agent token usage. Agent tasks often involve multiple consecutive model calls, making them more likely to drive up request volumes.
