Dataline said the decentralized data network for AI agents has secured $10.6 million in seed funding. Lattice and Samsung-backed Dispersion Capital jointly led the round. Dataline co-founder Nuo Shi said participants included Symbolic Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Anagram and Robinhood co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev. Other investors, whose names were not disclosed, included a former CFTC head and founders or partners from Venmo, Anchorage Digital, NEA, General Catalyst, Jump Capital and FalconX.
Shi said the round closed in April through a simple agreement for future equity, or SAFE, accompanied by a token warrant. Shi declined to reveal Dataline's valuation. Shi said no investor obtained a board seat, an observer role or an advisory position.
Dataline supplies data that AI agents can purchase when needed. Shi said Dataline covers both onchain and offchain data. Developers can use a single platform to connect AI agents with the data sources. Dataline uses AI to assess data reliability, freshness and consistency so agents can evaluate trustworthiness before using the data. Shi said a stablecoin price of $0.97 could represent either a buying opportunity or an emerging depeg, a distinction a basic price feed or API cannot make. Shi said Dataline supplements prices with information about peg stability and cross-venue outliers to help bots, smart contracts and people distinguish those situations.
Shi identified Chainlink, Pyth, The Graph and Grass as competing data platforms but said Dataline was designed specifically for AI agents. Shi said Dataline is operating and covers around 50 data sources. Dataline's initial "AI Data Launch" group comprises Hyperliquid, Polymarket, Kalshi, Base, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, Sui and TON. Dataline said developers working on Base and Robinhood Chain will get access without charge.
Shi said Dataline intends to introduce a token by the end of this year. Shi said the token will enable payments and access throughout the network. Users will be able to secure ongoing access to data feeds by locking tokens rather than paying recurring subscriptions. Dataline plans a public token sale on Base through Uniswap's Continuous Clearing Auction, or CCA, system. Shi said Dataline is collaborating with Uniswap. Shi said Dataline expects to release sale details next week.
Shi said Dataline wants the sale to exceed every previous Uniswap CCA on Base in size. Shi declined to disclose the fundraising target, the number of tokens available or other sale terms. Shi said data providers will have to stake tokens with data submissions after the token launches. Shi said providers will receive payment and recover the staked tokens when customers accept the data. Shi said providers supplying recurring data feeds will retain locked tokens as a guarantee of quality.
Shi said rejected data will undergo an AI review first, followed by a network vote when necessary. Shi said providers whose data does not pass review will forfeit tokens, which will increase another provider's reward. Shi said Dataline intends to retain a share of data payments but has not begun collecting fees. Dataline's foundation also intends to generate revenue by supplying data of the foundation's own.
Shi said Dataline will spend the funding on adding data sources, strengthening data verification and entering fields including robotics and AI training data. Shi said Dataline was established in 2025 after winning an AI hackathon organized by BNB Chain. Dataline's team works primarily from Europe and North America. Shi did not disclose the team's size or plans for hiring.
