Citing PANews, data shows that between December 11 and 18, 2025, Circle issued approximately 4.7 billion USDC but redeemed 6 billion USDC, resulting in a net reduction of 1.3 billion in circulation. As of December 18, the total USDC circulation stood at 77.2 billion, with reserves totaling around 77.5 billion USD. These reserves include 53.3 billion USD in overnight reverse repurchase agreements, 14.3 billion USD in short-term Treasury securities, 9.2 billion USD in deposits with systemically important institutions, and 700 million USD in other bank deposits. The movement aligns with tightening compliance under EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation and efforts in Countering the Financing of Terrorism.
