ChainThink reports that on August 11, Dan Bin, Chairman of Oriental Harbor, responded to investor concerns by stating that Oriental Harbor No. 2 remains fully invested and had already taken substantial positions in AI industry assets prior to the steep market correction in July, with no significant reductions made since.
Du Bin stated that the fund experienced a significant drawdown during this round due to its exposure to the AI sector.
In 2023, Dongfang Gangwan capitalized on the global AI opportunities led by NVIDIA, but it initiated its investment in China's domestic AI industry chain relatively late, fully committing to it only by 2026.
Regarding the sharp market decline in July, Bu Wen stated that Dongfang Harbor did not panic-sell or significantly reduce its positions, making only minimal structural adjustments.
