ChainCatcher report: On September 2, Curve DAO passed Proposal 1492, approving yRisk as the risk provider for crvUSD and Llamalend, concluding a selection process that began in July. The proposal passed with 621 million veCRV votes in favor and only 5.33 votes against, and was executed 87 minutes after voting ended. yRisk will receive a one-year revocable grant consisting of 125,000 frxUSD principal (deposited as sfrxUSD) and 568,000 CRV, less than the $250,000 annual funding they originally requested. yRisk consists of two individuals who identify as the lead developers of Resupply and core developers of Yearn and Resupply. Resupply is a stablecoin and lending protocol built on crvUSD and CurveLend; in June 2025, it suffered a $9.6 million loss due to a donation attack vulnerability, though this incident was not mentioned in the proposal. Swiss Stake, responsible for reviewing the application, acknowledged yRisk’s experience with Curve but expressed concerns regarding its small team size and the operational capacity required to monitor multiple Llamalend markets. The previous risk provider, LlamaRisk, announced on May 29 its early termination of collaboration with Curve and ceased related activities on June 30, returning approximately 270,000 unvested crvUSD to the treasury. Curve founder Michael Egorov initiated the proposal call on July 7.
