MoMA has added the CryptoPunks NFT collection to its permanent collection, marking a major milestone for blockchain art. Created by Larva Labs in 2017, the 24×24 pixel avatars are the pioneers of PFP NFTs. The pieces were donated by private collectors and are now under MoMA’s curation. Despite a 66% drop in NFT market value to $31 billion, CryptoPunks remain a top-tier NFT with a floor price of 29.9 ETH ($96,900). The move reflects growing interest in altcoins to watch, as the fear and greed index remains a key metric for traders.
