ChainCatcher report: As the U.S. primary season nears its end, crypto industry super PACs have secured victories in multiple key districts. Fairshake, backed by major funders including Coinbase, Ripple, and a16z, has helped approximately 50 candidates win nominations so far, including Democratic Representative Jake Auchincloss from Massachusetts, and Republican Senate candidates Barry Moore of Alabama, Andy Barr of Kentucky, Kevin Hern of Oklahoma, and Harriet Hageman of Wyoming. Data from prediction markets Polymarket and Kalshi indicate that these candidates have a greater than 94% probability of winning in the general election. Fairshake spokesperson Geoff Vetter stated that the organization has reserved $122 million for the fall general election. However, Fairshake suffered its largest setback to date in Illinois, where it spent over $10 million attempting to block Democrat Juliana Stratton from securing her nomination—but failed. Additionally, the Fellowship PAC, supported by Cantor Fitzgerald and Anchorage Digital, has actually spent approximately $11 million, far below its previously announced $100 million target; the Digital Freedom Fund, funded by the Winklevoss brothers with $21 million, has not yet engaged in supporting specific candidates.
