Odaily Planet Daily report: On August 25, according to SoSoValue data, driven by a combination of factors—including Bessen’s potential use of nearly $1 trillion in TGA to purchase bonds and the U.S. expanding economic sanctions against Iran—the crypto market regained an upward trend, with the Layer 2 sector leading the gains, rising 3.02% in 24 hours. Among these, Polygon (POL) increased by 8.50%, Stacks (STX) rose 4.76%, and Mantle (MNT) gained 2.82%. Meanwhile, Bitcoin (BTC) climbed 3.22%, reaching $80,000 intraday; Ethereum (ETH) rose 2.38%, once again breaking above $2,500 intraday.
Notably, MAG7.ssi rose 2.68%, DEFI.ssi fell 0.67%, and MEME.ssi declined 0.43%.
In other sectors, the Layer1 sector rose 2.21% in 24 hours, with Solana (SOL) up 6.14%; the CeFi sector increased 2.08%, with OKB (OKB) up 6.49%; the PayFi sector gained 1.97%, with Telcoin (TEL) up 7.81%; and the Meme sector rose 0.44%, with dogwifhat (WIF) up 5.80%.
Additionally, the DeFi sector declined by 0.27%, but Ondo Finance (ONDO) remained relatively strong, rising 5.80%.
The cryptocurrency sector indices reflecting historical market performance showed that the ssiNFT, ssiLayer2, and ssiMAG7 indices rose by 3.54%, 3.19%, and 3.07%, respectively.
