Crossmint launched a stablecoin funding onramp on September 2, now available in over 160 countries. The onramp lets fintech apps fund wallets via Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cards without redirecting users. Built into Crossmint’s wallet and stablecoin stack, the product includes identity checks and crypto compliance tailored to local rules. The company manages KYC, AML, and chargeback liability for card transactions. Supported by its MiCA-authorized European entity or licensed partners elsewhere, the onramp expands Crossmint’s stablecoin tools, including embedded wallets, offramps, and cards. The firm serves over 40,000 enterprises and developers, including MoneyGram, Wirex, and Tala. The move brings on-chain news to the growing stablecoin infrastructure space.

Crossmint launched a stablecoin funding onramp on September 2 that the company says is available across more than 160 countries. The launch announcement says fintech apps can let users fund wallets with Apple Pay, Google Pay or payment cards without sending them to a separate interface. Crossmint is positioning the product as an integrated entry point into its wallet and stablecoin infrastructure.

Crossmint Keeps the Funding Flow Inside Apps

The new onramp can be embedded through Crossmint components or connected through application programming interfaces for a headless implementation. In either setup, the company says the funding journey remains within the fintech’s app. That structure is intended to reduce the handoffs that can interrupt onboarding when a customer first tries to add money to a wallet.

Crossmint said identity checks are risk-based and adjusted to the applicable requirements in each market. Its announcement did not provide country-by-country acceptance rates, transaction fees or settlement times, so the claim of broader coverage should not be read as identical service terms in every jurisdiction.

Payments Support Depends on Local Authorization

In the European Economic Area, Crossmint said its European entity is authorized as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCA and as a payment institution under PSD2. Elsewhere, the company said the onramp is supported either by an appropriately authorized Crossmint entity or a licensed local partner.

The provider also says it handles know-your-customer checks, sanctions and anti-money-laundering screening, wallet screening and applicable Travel Rule duties. For card transactions, Crossmint said it manages disputes and assumes chargeback liability. These are company descriptions of the operating model, not an independent assessment of regulatory coverage.

The Launch Extends Crossmint’s Stablecoin Stack

The onramp sits alongside Crossmint’s embedded wallets, stablecoin orchestration, offramps and card products. Crossmint said dozens of fintechs and consumer apps already use its funding infrastructure and named MoneyGram, Wirex and Tala among more than 40,000 enterprises and developers it serves.

BlockchainReporter previously covered a separate Crossmint integration with Paga focused on African mobile-money and stablecoin access. The new product is broader in scope: it gives developers one integration for card and digital-wallet funding across the markets Crossmint supports.

Coverage Does Not Mean Uniform Availability

The concrete development is the launch of Crossmint’s own onramp, not a new stablecoin or blockchain network. Availability still depends on local rules, licensed counterparties and the payment methods supported in each market. Crossmint did not disclose launch volumes or customer-conversion data, leaving adoption and performance to be measured after rollout.
