According to The Defiant, the Core Lightning (CLN) maintenance team has notified node operators that, if they cannot upgrade to the upcoming patched version, they should run their nodes offline using the --offline parameter. The team stated that a binary release containing fixes for multiple disclosed vulnerabilities will be issued, but details of the vulnerabilities will remain confidential for another two weeks; as of publication, the relevant binary and security advisory have not yet been made public. CLN previously reported that over the past approximately 10 days, it received multiple CVE reports generated by AI, and the team is currently verifying, categorizing, and addressing them in collaboration with open-source contributors. Its latest publicly released version is v26.06.6, issued on July 22, and the planned v26.09 release remains on schedule for late September.
