Coinbase to Stop Offering USDC Rewards for Free Users, Benefits Limited to Paid Members

Leading cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has confirmed it will end USDC rewards for free users starting December 15. The update was sent via email, with rewards now reserved for Coinbase One subscribers. The 4% yield on stablecoin balances is part of a $4.99 monthly plan that also offers fee-free trading. USDC holdings hit $9 billion in Q3 2025, driven by the reward program and product integration. Low fee crypto exchange Coinbase mentioned the change during a recent live stream covering market trends and tokenized stocks.
