Cognition AI announced the launch of Windsurf 2.0 on April 16 (UTC+8), featuring an Agent Command Center and the integrated Devin cloud agent. The updated IDE includes a Kanban-style interface for tracking agent status and task progress. A new 'Space' feature groups agent sessions, pull requests, and files together. Devin, a self-coding agent equipped with a virtual machine and browser, is now integrated and available to all Windsurf subscribers. This AI + crypto news update highlights new token listings and platform enhancements.

ME News reports that on April 16 (UTC+8), according to monitoring by Beating, Cognition AI has released Windsurf 2.0, featuring core updates including the “Agent Command Center” and the direct integration of the Devin cloud agent. The IDE is no longer merely a place to write code—it has become a command center for managing a team of AI agents. The Agent Command Center displays all running agents in a Kanban view, enabling unified management of local and cloud agents, organized by status. The design intent is clear: when engineers run dozens of agents simultaneously to handle different parts of the same project, the bottleneck is not coding capability, but human attention and working memory. The Kanban board allows engineers to instantly see which agents are active, which are stuck, and which are awaiting review. “Spaces” are new units for organizing work. Each space bundles everything related to a task: agent sessions, pull requests, files, and context. When creating a new agent session within a space, it automatically inherits the space’s existing project context, eliminating the need to restate requirements each time. Switching spaces switches tasks, with each task backed by a dedicated set of running agents. Devin is Cognition’s previously standalone autonomous programming agent, equipped with its own cloud virtual machine, desktop environment, and browser, capable of end-to-end execution of tasks such as debugging, deployment, and testing. It is now directly integrated into Windsurf: users can devise plans on local agents and deploy them to Devin in the cloud with one click—even closing their laptop won’t interrupt the process. Once Devin completes its task, it submits a pull request; users can then review diffs, run tests, or assign refinements to local agents directly within Windsurf. Devin is available to all Windsurf subscription users and is being rolled out in phases. (Source: BlockBeats)
