ChainCatcher report: On October 28, Jack Cable and Ashwin Ramaswami, co-founders of AI coding security company Corridor, published a post on Cognition’s official website stating that Corridor will join Cognition and advance Devin Security to its next phase. Cognition subsequently announced on X that it is acquiring Corridor. Cognition is the developer of the AI software engineer Devin. Jack Cable and Ashwin Ramaswami wrote that Corridor was founded approximately two years ago with the mission of accelerating secure and autonomous software development and has since evolved into a security layer for AI-native teams. They stated they will collaborate with Russell Kaplan, President of Cognition and early advisor to Corridor; Chief Security Officer Alex Stamos; and Chief Technology Officer Steven Hao. They also noted that throughout their careers, they have identified and remediated vulnerabilities in critical systems and believe AI agents are now capable of executing end-to-end attack chains, requiring defenders to adopt new tools. Previously, Corridor announced in August 2025 the closing of a $5.4 million seed round led by Conviction, and in March 2026, it announced a $25 million Series A round led by Felicis at a $200 million valuation, with participation from Conviction, Timeless, Lux Capital, Datadog, SV Angel, and others. Its product is designed to embed security controls directly into the AI-generated code development process, rather than adding security measures after the code has been written.
