As per Cryptonewsland, CME Group halted trading across futures, options, and currencies due to a data center system failure. The outage, caused by a cooling malfunction at CyrusOne facilities, disrupted the Globex platform and left traders without updated benchmarks for major indices and currency pairs. Despite the disruption, CME reported record crypto and Treasury volumes and strong stock performance. The exchange has deployed support teams to restore systems and plans to introduce new spot-quoted futures contracts on XRP and Solana in December.
