Cloudflare Open-Sources AI Platform for Internal Applications

According to Beating Monitor, Cloudflare has open-sourced its enterprise AI workflow platform, Cloudflare OS. Employees can enable Agents to access company knowledge and internal systems to research information, write documents, create data dashboards, or directly generate internal micro-applications. These applications can read and update internal data, save execution states, and collaborate with colleagues. Repetitive tasks can be standardized into automated workflows—running code when computation is needed and invoking models when decision-making is required. Cloudflare has also designed a dedicated permission system that not only restricts which tools an Agent can use but also logs the data it accesses. When sharing applications with colleagues, the system rechecks the recipient’s permissions to prevent indirect leakage of internal information. The project is licensed under Apache 2.0 and can be trialed locally or deployed on Cloudflare. Running online requires at least a $5/month Workers paid plan, with additional charges for model calls and extra resources.
