Huo Xing Cai Jing reports that Clearpool has released its v4 protocol whitepaper for 2026, stating that its institutional credit market is already operational across multiple EVM-compatible networks and is further expanding to the XRP Ledger. The whitepaper reveals that the institutional credit protocol will collaborate with Ripple and Cicada Partners to extend to the XRP Ledger, settling transactions in the regulated stablecoin RLUSD, while migrating tokens from CPOOL to the new CLEAR token at a 1:1 ratio. The total supply of CLEAR is 1.429 billion, with 1.125 billion in circulation at the time of migration, accounting for 78.75%. This migration and XRPL expansion were approved via Snapshot voting with a 97.16% approval rate. Since its launch in 2021, the protocol has disbursed approximately $965 million in loans to borrowers including Jane Street, Flow Traders, and Wintermute, and currently supports six EVM chains. Fifty percent of protocol fees will be used for open-market buybacks and permanent burning of CLEAR tokens. The XRPL product is preparing for testing on Devnet.
