Bitcoin price prediction has turned more bullish after Citigroup raised its 12-month Bitcoin target from $82,000 to $113,000. The bank also lifted its Ether target to $3,028 from $2,240, pointing to stronger crypto activity, improving macro conditions, and renewed ETF inflows.
Here’s why Citigroup raised this target.
Citigroup Raises Bitcoin Price Target to $113K
Citigroup has raised its 12-month Bitcoin target to $113,000 from $82,000, reversing the cautious outlook it adopted earlier this year. Citi had started 2026 with a $143,000 target before cutting it to $112,000 in March and then $82,000 in July.
Bitcoin is currently trading around $83,773. At this level, BTC would need to gain about 34.8% to reach Citi’s new $113,000 target.
The bank also noted that Bitcoin has rebounded nearly 43% over the past three months.
October could also give Bitcoin another push if historical trends repeat. Bitcoin’s historical October average return is around 14.4%.
Reasons Why Citigroup Raised This Target
A key part of Citi’s new outlook is ETF demand. The bank expects around $5 billion of crypto inflows over the next 12 months.
However, Citi does not expect another sudden buying wave. It expects inflows to return at a slower but steadier pace as financial advisers and brokerages gradually increase their Bitcoin allocations.
Citi also pointed to a softer dollar and the U.S. Treasury’s longer-dated bond buybacks as factors supporting the recent crypto recovery.
Citi also said the failed CLARITY Act vote narrowed the path toward a wider market-structure law, but later SEC rule announcements helped reduce negative sentiment.
Citi Push Ether Target Moves to $3,028
Citi also lifted its Ether price target to $3,028 from $2,240. With ETH trading around $2,700, the cryptocurrency needs roughly 12.1% growth to reach the new target.
Ether has gained nearly 68% over the past three months, although it remains down around 9% for the year.
