Citing TheCCPress, Circle Internet Group, Inc. has secured a Financial Services Permission from Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), allowing it to operate as a regulated Money Services Provider in the UAE. The move is expected to enhance the adoption of its stablecoin, USDC, in the UAE and the Middle East and North Africa (MEA) region. Saeeda Jaffar, a former Visa executive, has joined Circle as Managing Director to lead its expansion in the region. The license aligns with the UAE’s financial innovation goals and reflects Circle’s regulatory-first strategy under CEO Jeremy Allaire.
