Circle's USDC Circulation Drops by 1.3 Billion in 7 Days

According to AiCoin, between December 11 and 18, 2025, Circle issued about 4.7 billion USDC but redeemed 6 billion, leading to a net drop of 1.3 billion in circulation. Total USDC supply now stands at 77.2 billion, backed by $77.5 billion in reserves. These include $53.3 billion in overnight reverse repos, $14.3 billion in short-term Treasuries, $9.2 billion in deposits with systemically important banks, and $0.7 billion in other bank deposits. The EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation continues to influence stablecoin operations globally.
