Circle announced two key updates on 12/18: a multi-year partnership with Intuit and the token launch of USDCx on Stacks. The Intuit deal will bring USDC into TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma, enabling faster tax refunds, cheaper cross-border payments, and real-time settlements. USDCx on Stacks opens regulated, interoperable stablecoin liquidity to Bitcoin-based DeFi apps for the first time. These moves strengthen USDC’s role as a settlement rail across traditional fintech and crypto infrastructure.
