Odaily Planet Daily reports that on September 3, Circle and the decentralized perpetuals trading platform edgeX jointly announced that, upon the launch of the Arc mainnet on September 16, edgeX will become Arc’s flagship perp, offering 24/7 FX trading on the first day of mainnet launch. The two parties will collaborate to advance the development of on-chain foreign exchange and global asset trading markets on Arc.
On the mainnet launch day, edgeX will be the first to offer 24/7 trading of the USD/JPY perpetual contract, alongside more than 150 perpetual contract markets covering U.S. equities, commodities, and crypto assets—all settled and margined in Arc’s native USDC.
Arc is Circle’s Layer 1 blockchain built specifically for stablecoin finance, featuring an integrated FX engine (StableFX), an institutional-grade RFQ pricing system, and 24/7 on-chain PvP (payment-versus-payment) settlement, with USDC as the native gas token.
edgeX, backed by Circle Ventures, will exclusively launch the FX perp market for Arc Chain. edgeX is one of the world’s top centralized perpetuals exchanges, with trading volume exceeding $900 billion since its launch, enabling users to trade perpetual contracts on U.S. equities, commodities, forex, and crypto assets 24/7. Previously, the Circle and edgeX teams have collaborated on the native USDC issuance and CCTP integration on EDGE Chain.
