ChipForge Launches as World's First Decentralized Chip Design Project

ChipForge, a groundbreaking project in the semiconductor space, has launched as the world’s first decentralized chip design initiative. Built on Bittensor subnetwork SN84, it uses RISC-V to eliminate licensing costs and open up chip design to global engineers. The project team is rewarding top designs with tokens based on performance, power, and area. A working RISC-V processor has already been developed, with plans to build edge AI accelerators and use Google’s OpenMPW for production.
