Odaily Planet Daily report: Today, China’s three major stock indices opened lower but rallied collectively. By closing, the Shanghai Composite rose 1.47%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.86%, and the ChiNext Index rose 1.32%. The Sci-Tech Innovation 50 Index surged 4.78%. The combined trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges reached RMB 2.66 trillion, an increase of RMB 446 billion from the previous trading day. On the market, more than 3,700 stocks advanced. Zhongji旭创 recorded a trading volume exceeding RMB 67.5 billion, surpassing its previous record high of RMB 59.77 billion set on July 30, 2026.
Storage chip concepts remained strongly positive for the day, with Zhengfan Technology rising 20% to its daily limit; photolithography equipment concepts were active, with Woge Photoelectric achieving two consecutive daily limits; precious metals concepts strengthened, with Sichuan Gold and others hitting their daily limits. Additionally, sectors such as PCB, lithium battery, semiconductors, education, and pharmaceuticals led gains; while banking, oilfield services engineering, and alcohol brewing sectors saw notable declines.
